« Reply #1 on: August 12, 2009, 10:36:14 AM »

Firefox Users: Because you use Firefox, you can use a very NIFTY add-on known only as, ChatZilla.

Instruction: After you have installed and restarted Firefox, do the following:

  • Select "Tools" from your Firefox Menu Bar. Click on "ChatZilla" to launch the Add-on.
  • After the window loads, in the text input box at the bottom, put in and press the following:
    • Put in: /server irc.x10hosting.com
    • Press: Enter
    • Put in: /join #BBA
    • Press: Enter
  • Congrats! You should now be connected. If your client does not connect, I suggest using the Online Client. Information for it can be found below.

IE Users: There is a Freeware IRC client you can download and install, known only as, IceChat

Instruction: After you have installed and started IceChat, do the following:

  • Currently, I do not have any experience with IceChat. I am currently working on learning it though. I will have instruction for you eventually. For now, I suggest using the Online Client. Information for it can be found below.

Web Based Client: Because Many People cannot download, install, or otherwise. I am providing a web based client for you to use. There is no download required. Simply follow this link: http://www.mibbit.com/chat/

Instruction: After you have clicked the link, do the following:

  • Find and Click the link that says "Server", located next to the Drop-down Box.
  • Once the text-area appears, put in the following: irc.x10hosting.com
  • In the Box with the label "Nick", put in what you want to be known as.
  • In the Box with the label "Channel", put in the following: #BBA
  • Press Go
  • Congrats! You should now be connected.
